Me in the largest sponsored ride ever to be held in the UK in support our Armed Forces.

Horses for Heroes is a sponsored ride like no other. 2010 horses and riders will take part in this fantastic event in aid of one of the UK’s most incredible charities – Help for Heroes. The charity raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.

The sponsored ride will take place on 10th July and will start and finish at Ascot Racecourse. The course is approximately 5 miles long, starting from Ascot Racecourse and will follow a route around Windsor Great Park and will return to Ascot with the finish being past the winning post in front of the iconic Ascot Grandstand.                          

 

What I am doing.

I am Mrs Bustle (known locally as a bit of a character) . Recently I have heard ( note my big ears) mutterings over the stable door, that there is a ride at Ascot and in Windsor Park for Help for Heroes. Well it has come to light that my owner does not think 5 miles around there, is enough of a challenge for me.

Instead she has decided to ride me from my home in Somerset to Ascot, about 150 miles. Starting on the 6th July, arriving in time for the start of the ride.
